According to a report by Valai Pechu, Ajith Kumar is set to headline the tentatively titled AK64, which could mark his debut as a film producer. Earlier reports had suggested that the project was facing delays due to production-related considerations, leaving its future uncertain.
Now, it appears that the actor may take on production responsibilities himself, beginning with his next film. The report further states that Anirudh Ravichander is likely to compose the film's songs and background score, marking another collaboration between the musician and the actor following Vidaamuyarchi.
However, it is important to note that these developments remain unconfirmed, and the makers have yet to make an official announcement.
Earlier, Adhik Ravichandran had confirmed that his next directorial venture would reunite him with Ajith Kumar. The film is said to be a family entertainer and, unlike Good Bad Ugly, is expected to appeal to a broader audience. Additionally, the movie is reportedly set to feature several surprises for viewers.

Ajith Kumar was last seen in the action drama Good Bad Ugly. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film follows the story of AK, a former underworld figure popularly known as Red Dragon.
Following the birth of his son, he decides to leave his past behind and serve an 18-year imprisonment. However, after his release, he learns that his son has been falsely implicated in a case.
As a result, AK is compelled to revisit his former life in an effort to uncover the truth and clear his son's name.
Apart from Ajith, Good Bad Ugly also featured Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, and several others in key roles.
