Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya Atlee, who welcomed their second child in April 2026, have now revealed the name of their baby girl. Nearly a month after announcing her birth, the couple introduced their daughter as Miyou through a heartfelt social media post on May 17, 2026. The announcement featured a soft pastel visual of the couple holding their newborn’s tiny hand, alongside their touching message.

Sharing more about the name, the couple posted on Instagram, “Our art of love now has a name (heart and evil eye emojis) MIYOU — beauty, gentleness & love. With luv, MEER, PRIYA & ATLEE (heart and evil eye emojis).” According to the post, Miyou symbolises beauty, gentleness, and love.

Meaning of the name Miyou
While the name does not have roots in traditional Indian or Sanskrit origins, it is believed to carry Japanese influences. As per Wisdom Library, “Mi” can translate to “beautiful,” while “You” may signify “gentle,” “excellent,” or “superior.” Fans and celebrities quickly flooded the comments section, praising the unique name and congratulating the couple on their growing family.
Atlee and Priya first announced their daughter’s arrival on April 20 through a joint Instagram post captioned, “Feeling blessed.” The couple also shared an adorable illustrated poster featuring their son Meer excitedly stepping into his new role as an elder brother. The poster read, “Yay! I’ve got a baby sister… Big brother Meer. We, Priya and Atlee are blessed with a baby girl. April 20th, 2026.” The couple had welcomed their first child, Meer, in January 2023.
Atlee busy with upcoming film Raaka
On the professional front, Atlee is currently working on Raaka after making his Bollywood debut with the blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. The upcoming multilingual film features Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Earlier this year, the makers unveiled Allu Arjun’s first look from the film on his 44th birthday, showing him bald with furry paws covering his face, hinting at a mysterious part-human, part-creature character. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film’s release date is yet to be officially announced.
