Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is the upcoming romantic comedy starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, directed by Premalu fame Girish AD. As the film is expected to release in theatres for Onam 2026, it appears that the plot of the rom-com has been revealed.
Is the Bethlehem Kudumba Unit plot revealed?
On the film's official page on BookMyShow, the plot reads, “Ashley's homecoming from abroad takes an emotional turn when a wedding next door stirs memories of her first love, Justin. Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is a heartwarming rom-com about first love, second chances, and the kind of love worth waiting for.”
However, the makers have not yet revealed any updates or additional details about the film. The movie is co-produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.
While an official release date is yet to be announced, the film is eyeing an August 2026 release. As the movie is expected to arrive in theatres during the Onam season, it will clash at the box office with Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa and Dulquer Salmaan's I'm Game, both of which have officially confirmed August 20, 2026, as their release date.
Nivin Pauly’s work front
Nivin Pauly was last seen in the lead role in Prathichaya. Directed by B. Unnikrishnan, the drama thriller follows a tech entrepreneur-turned-strategist who is also the son of an affluent man. After his father dies as a result of a dangerous conspiracy orchestrated by a ruthless media tycoon, his life takes a dramatic turn.
As the opposition attempts to exploit the conspiracy for its own gain and destabilise the political landscape, the entrepreneur takes it upon himself to uncover the strategic moves employed by the conspirators to tarnish his father's name. He then leads a battle against them, using his wit and skills to defend his father's legacy and honour.
Apart from Nivin Pauly, the film also stars Sharaf U Dheen, Balachandra Menon, Harisree Ashokan, Maniyanpilla Raju, Ann Augustine, and others in key roles.
Looking ahead, the actor is part of Raghava Lawrence and Ravi Mohan's upcoming film Benz. Additionally, his film Dear Students, co-starring Nayanthara, is yet to announce its release date.
On the other hand, Mamitha Baiju will next appear in a lead role alongside Suriya in Vishwanath And Sons. Moreover, her film with Thalapathy Vijay, Jana Nayagan, is yet to finalise its release date.
