One of the biggest films of the year, Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil is making the right noise since its inception. A couple of months ago, the makers of the film released the film's first look and it created an immense buzz among the fans of Vijay. The audio launch event held in Chennai a few weeks back only raised high expectations among the moviegoers. Directed by Atlee, Bigil is a sports drama and the film is all set to hit the screens this Diwali. Meanwhile, an interesting piece of news about the film is doing rounds. 

According to media reports, Bigil is the most expensive film to release in Tamil cinema after Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0. Yes, you read that right! Bigil is touted to be one of the most expensive films after 2.0, which had released last year. 2.0 was made on a whopping budget of Rs 543 crore while it is being reported Bigil has been made on a massive price of Rs 180 crore. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter and revealed about the same. He tweeted, "The Budget of #Bigil is ₹ 180 Crs.. It's the 2nd Most Expensive Tamil movie after #2Point0".

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for Bigil's trailer, which has been delayed. In a recent interview to Tamil magazine Vikatan, producer Archana Kalpathi revealed about the delay in the trailer release. She said, "A production house alone does not have the rights to give an update. It all lies in the hands of the direction team. When they say that the product is ready, then we will be able to give an update. I understand that people are curious to see the film. But, it's not right to pressurise the direction team."

Bigil also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma and Amritha Nair.
