Superstar Vijay Deverakonda is currently on cloud 9 with the success of his recent release, Dear Comrade. The much-awaited action drama, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Shruti Ramachandran, hit theatres on 26th July and so far, has received mixed reviews from the audience. Vijay’s performance has been applauded by critics as well as celebs and the Hindi remake of the film has already been announced by famous filmmaker Karan Johar. However, the lead pair has not been finalized yet.

According to reports, recently a success meet was held for Dear Comrade. While speaking about the film, Vijay got teary eyed on the stage. Opening up about the reviews from audience, the actor said that his team humbly accepts them. Talking about how some critics called the film slow, he shared that that’s how life is and through Dear Comrade, the makers have tried to show the contrast in life. Vijay concluded he’s happy that he did the film and is sure the audience has loved it.

Written and directed by Bharat Kamma and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Yash Rangineni, Dear Comrade follows the journey of Comrade Chaitanya "Bobby" Krishnan, played by Vijay, who is a student leader and Lily aka Aparnadevi, played by Rashmika, a cricketer.
