Dhanush will be soon reuniting with his brother Selvaraghavan for a new film after a gap of eight years. The duo will collaborate for a film which is still untitled. Dhanush and Selvaraghavan have together delivered films like Mayakkam Enna, Pudhupettai and Kadhal Kondein. The last film they did was in the year 2011, titled Mayakkam Enna. The fans are waiting patiently to know what role will Dhanush play in this upcoming film with his brother Selvaraghavan. There were rumours floating around that Dhanush will be seen alongside superstar Rajnikanth in a new film.

While talking to Mid-Day for an interview, Dhanush also made clear that their production house is not closing down. They are in the process of giving approvals to the scripts and will soon make an announcement about the upcoming projects. He further stated that every production house goes through ups and downs, but they feel happy, as their production house has had a decent track record of delivering good films. Dhanush also added that they were in no hurry to make films as some producers are known to make one or two films in a year.

Dhanush made his presence felt on the international platform, when he featured in a film called, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. Dhanush played the part of a street magic in search of his lost father. This film was by Ken Scott and saw French actress Bérénice Bejo play a part in the film. Dhanush is looking forward to his next film titled Asuran, where he is playing a double role.
