Dragon First Glimpse: Prashanth Neel introduces Jr NTR as an assasin; Rukmini Vasanth and Anil Kapoor add more gravitas
Prashanth Neel scheduled Dragon for a grand June 11, 2027 release. The first glimpse showcased the birthday boy, Jr NTR in his most intense and terrifying avatar.
The wait is over! The much-awaited first glimpse of #NTRNeel is officially out now. Prashanth Neel, best known for KGF Chapter 1, KGF Chapter 2, and Salaar, is back with another gritty action drama, titled Dragon. The filmmaker introduced the leading man, Jr NTR, as LUGER in the film, who is the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company.
The first glimpse has a runtime of 4 minutes and 28 seconds, where the visionary filmmaker not only showcases the world he has created but also introduces all the pivotal characters.
Jr NTR looked absolutely deadly and terrifying in his first glimpse, standing on a cliff while holding a sword soaked in blood. As the camera pans over, his character says, "The greatest gift god has given me is not to regret after pulling the trigger. I don't see the faces of the people I have killed in my dreams, only the faces of my enemies that remains...I advice you not to stumble into my dreams." With NTR’s birthday falling on May 20th, the first glimpse has indeed arrived as an explosive treat for his fans.
Dragon is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited Indian movies. Mounted on a lavish production scale, the film has a strong ensemble cast that adds more gravitas to the overall feel. Anil Kapoor is marking his Kannada debut with Dragon. He is playing Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of Narcotics Bureau. Kantara: Chapter 1 fame actress Rukmini Vasanth is playing the female lead.
The other cast members include Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom, Aleksandr Mizev, and Benedict Paul Garrett.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
