Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is slated for release on May 21, 2026, coinciding with the superstar’s birthday this year. As we gear up to revisit the classic once again in theatres, let’s take a look at the budget and salaries reportedly earned by the actors.
Drishyam 3: Mohanlal’s crime drama thriller budget and salary breakdown
According to a report by Times Now, Mohanlal is said to have charged Rs 20 crore for Drishyam 3 for reprising the role of Georgekutty. The new remuneration is reportedly several times higher than what he earned for his previous portrayals of the character, marking a significant salary jump among the cast as well.
Reportedly, the superstar received Rs 5 to Rs 6 crore for his role in Drishyam. Later, his remuneration for Drishyam 2 was said to be between Rs 10 and Rs 12 crore. Now, the actor appears to have doubled the amount again, especially with Drishyam 3 gearing up for a massive nationwide release.
Moreover, actress Meena, who plays Georgekutty’s wife, is expected to receive a salary of Rs 75 lakh. She reportedly earned between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 25 lakh for the previous instalments.
Additionally, actors Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil, who play Georgekutty’s daughters in the film, are expected to take home Rs 1 crore and Rs 25 lakh, respectively. Apparently, the latter has maintained a similar salary range over the years.
While unconfirmed, reports suggest that the overall budget of Drishyam 3 is around Rs 100 crore. However, this figure is based solely on media reports, and no official confirmation has been made.
