Drishyam 3 Ending Explained

Drishyam 3 begins after the events of Drishyam 2. In the prequel, Mohanlal’s Georgekutty had written a novel based on his own life story. Now, years later, theater owner-turned-producer Georgekutty has adapted that story into a film, which garners massive success while also drawing suspicion from everyone around him.

At the same time, Georgekutty is searching for a groom for his elder daughter, Anju. However, despite multiple attempts at arranging an alliance, the broker is unable to find a suitable match for her due to past controversies.

Over time, Georgekutty (Mohanlal) grows weary of his life, constantly questioning himself and falling deeper into paranoia. One night, he notices a flashlight being used on his property, and upon investigating, discovers that someone is digging a hole in his courtyard.

As though he senses that someone is always watching him, Georgekutty’s paranoia continues to intensify, leaving him unable to comprehend what is truly happening. Amid mounting pressure from traditional and social media surrounding theories connected to the movie, his mental state deteriorates further.

Soon, it is revealed that the person digging in the courtyard is none other than Sahadevan, the constable from the first installment, who was hellbent on capturing Georgekutty. Now, a drunkard who has been relieved from the police force, Sahadevan, has his own motives while being controlled by someone operating behind the scenes.

On the other hand, it is revealed that Geetha Prabhakaran (Asha Sharath) has become depressed and catatonic after failing to secure justice for her son. Witnessing her condition, Prabhakaran (Siddique) is willing to do anything within his power to help her. It is further revealed that Prabhakaran is the one bankrolling Sahadevan as part of a larger conspiracy against Georgekutty and is also responsible for sabotaging Anju’s marriage alliances.

After several failed attempts, Anju finally finds a match, only for it to be revealed that he, too, is a pawn planted by Prabhakaran. They plan to take Anju away, frame her for attacking her newlywed husband due to her aversion toward men, and simultaneously implicate Georgekutty in the same case.

However, as always, Georgekutty is one step ahead of everyone. After uncovering the truth behind the conspiracy, he instructs Anju to trust her father.

After saving his family once again, Georgekutty finally realizes that he must put an end to the entire ordeal and surrenders to the police for his past crimes. As he meets Prabhakaran one final time, Georgekutty warns him to end everything once and for all. Otherwise, Prabhakaran will face the same fate as his son.
