DV4: Dhruv Vikram begins ‘commercial entertainer’ with Kanguva writer at helm; To have bagged huge OTT deal
Dhruv Vikram is all set to star in a commercial entertainer movie, marking his subsequent venture after the success of Bison.
Dhruv Vikram was last seen in a lead role in Mari Selvaraj’s directorial Bison. Now, it appears that the actor is all set to headline a commercial entertainer, with a Kanguva writer set to direct the project.
Dhurv Vikram announces 4th film DV4
Taking to their official social media handle, the makers announced Dhruv Vikram’s next film, tentatively titled DV4. The upcoming project will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, with the team unveiling moments from the pooja ceremony. The caption read, “The film begins on an auspicious note with a pooja ceremony. Starring Dhruv Vikram in an out-and-out commercial entertainer.”

The film will be directed by Karan Arvind Kumar, who previously worked as a writer on the Suriya starrer Kanguva. As the team launched the project, directors Adhik Ravichandran and Keerthiswaran were also present at the ceremony.
According to online reports, the makers have reportedly finalized a double-digit OTT deal for the film. However, no official confirmation has been made by the team. It is also being speculated that Sai Abhyankkar may compose the film’s songs and background score.
Dhruv Vikram’s work front
Dhruv Vikram was last seen in the sports action drama Bison. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film follows the journey of Kittan, a young man who dreams of becoming a professional kabaddi player and representing India on the international stage.
From a young age, Kittan aspires to pursue kabaddi. The story explores the challenges he faces because of his identity and the deep-rooted prejudices of those around him. Whether he succeeds in fulfilling his dream forms the core of the narrative.
Alongside Dhruv Vikram, the film also stars Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, Azhagam Perumal, and several others in key roles. It is available for streaming on Netflix.
Earlier, reports suggested that Dhruv Vikram was being considered for the lead role in the Tamil remake of Kill. The remake rights had reportedly been acquired, with the Mahaan actor expected to reprise the role originally played by Lakshya in the Hindi version. However, later reports claimed that the actor had opted not to take up the project.
