Last month, Shruti Haasan parted ways with her beau Michael Corsale after two years of courtship. However, nothing has affected her professional life as she has been performing at various venues in London. The gorgeous star is also a successful music artist. Shruti manages both, i.e. her films and her concerts efficiently. Shruti will also gear up for the next schedule of the upcoming Tamil drama, Laabam opposite Vijay Sethupathi. The stunning actress is now focused on her professional life more than ever before. In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Shruti described living the happiest phase of her career.

When asked if she is having the happiest phase of her life, Shruti Haasan replied, "I'm the happiest I've been. You know a lot of people, like when I had decided to take a break, to honestly speak about, were thinking that why is she doing this but I made the best decision, I think. I prioritize my happiness first. Its like smelling perfumes. If you smell too many of them and if you don't take a break, you won't know what smells like what. Life is like that it keeps going on until you don't step away and take a minute to breathe....you can't decide how you want to go about with all things."

Further talking about the constant speculations about her personal life, Shruti laughed at it saying, "By last year rumours, I should have been married by now, with three children and divorced. There were articles all over. I was like guys ain't a woman allowed to take a break. I found it really funny."

She further added, "As it is I'm afraid of marriage, and then with the rumours of Shruti is getting married, I was panicking. I was like don't do this to me."

We asked about her take on working after marriage that is if ever she plans to marry. To that Shruti said, "I will have a career even after marriage if I ever get married. That's like a rule I have set for myself. I want to be a working wife and mommy, and everyone has to deal with it."

Shruti opened up about love and revealed about being romantic at heart, Shruti said, "I'm a very romantic person inside and I have realised only as I have grown older. But I'm also not, I really need my space, so I think that's quite unromantic. I'm romantic in a sense like I love to feel strongly for somebody, but if I don't feel strongly then I'm like whatever. If you would disappear tomorrow, it wouldn't matter. But I love to feel strong when I'm attracted to someone strongly. I'm romantic in the head, but then I like my space."

It's actually quite annoying that everyone keeps asking everyone about getting married..not everyone will get married because of the wedding season

Leave the girl alone. She's like any other girl her age trying to figure out what's right for her.

Groundbreaking Mantra.
