Telugu and Tamil actor Sreeleela found herself linked to Mumbai Indians cricketer Tilak Varma after a viral clip featuring Suryakumar Yadav sparked fresh dating speculation online. Varma's IPL teammate Suryakumar was seemingly teasing Tilak by saying he is “in love” while the Mumbai Indians batsman walks through a hotel lobby wearing earphones. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Sreeleela is not dating Tilak Varma.

Despite the frenzy online, Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that there is no truth to the dating rumors. According to an industry source, the speculation is entirely baseless and unfounded. “The rumours surrounding Tilak Varma and Sreeleela are completely baseless and untrue. The two have never even met or spoken to each other. There is absolutely no truth to these speculations and such fabricated stories should not be circulated without any factual basis,” the source clarified.
How their dating rumors began
Speculation about Tilak and Sreeleela first gained momentum after reports claimed that Sreeleela’s mother, Dr Swarnalatha, was spotted during Mumbai Indians’ IPL clash against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala. Fans soon began drawing connections between the actor and the cricketer, especially after claims surfaced that someone from Sreeleela’s team was seen wearing a jersey with “Tilak” written on it during a cricket outing.
The rumours intensified further when online users speculated about alleged social media activity between the two, including claims that they may have unfollowed each other.
The latest buzz erupted after the viral moment involving Suryakumar and Tilak began circulating online. Meanwhile, Sreeleela is currently busy filming filmmaker Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic musical opposite Kartik Aaryan, slated for release in 2026. On the cricket front, Tilak continues to rise rapidly, having recently been named captain of the India A squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka.
