HanuMan 3D: Teja Sajja’s superhero action film to hit theaters once again on June 25, 2026, with new theatrical format

Did you wonder how it would’ve been if HanuMan was a 3D film? Now, the Teja Sajja starrer is once again hitting the big screens in that exact format.

HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, originally released in theatres on January 12, 2024. Directed by Prasanth Varma, the superhero film became a massive hit and marked the first instalment in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

Now, two years after its original release, the makers have decided to re-release the movie in a 3D format.

Taking to their official social media handle, the makers of HanuMan unveiled a new poster confirming that the 3D version will release on June 25, 2026.

Sharing the update, the team wrote, “THE CHANTS WILL ECHO AGAIN. After conquering hearts worldwide, National Award Winning Historic Blockbuster HanuMan returns in an all-new spectacular 3D experience. HanuMan 3D IN CINEMAS WORLDWIDE ON 25 JUNE 2026. THIS TIME… EVERY MOMENT WILL BE LARGER THAN LIFE.”

HanuMan is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri and follows the story of Hanumanthu, who receives the powers of Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology and sets out to protect the people of Anjanadri from Michael, aka Mega Man, who seeks to wield the same power and become a superhero himself. The film later focuses on how Hanumanthu stops Michael and saves the world.

Written and directed by Prasanth Varma, the superhero film stars Teja Sajja in the lead role alongside Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, and Vennela Kishore in key roles.

As the first instalment in a cinematic universe, the PVCU also has upcoming projects like Kalyan Dasari’s Indra and Mahakali, starring Bhoomi Shetty, Rohit Saraf, and Akshaye Khanna.

Moreover, HanuMan is also set to receive a sequel titled Jai Hanuman, with Rishab Shetty playing the titular role.

Teja Sajja’s work front

Teja Sajja was last seen in the lead role in Mirai. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the fantasy action film featured Manchu Manoj as the primary antagonist, while Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Shriya Saran, and Ritika Nayak played pivotal roles.

Additionally, a sequel titled Mirai: Jaithraya, featuring Rana Daggubati as the co-lead, has also been announced.
