I, Nobody is an upcoming action drama starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and directed by Nisam Basheer. Ahead of the film’s release on July 9, 2026, the actor has opened up about what audiences can expect, emphasizing that the movie cannot be confined to a single genre.

Prithviraj Sukumaran details about I, Nobody

Speaking at an event with Online Malayali Events, Prithviraj Sukumaran elaborated on the film’s genre. The actor said, “As I said earlier, we cannot limit this movie to a singular genre. When I first heard the story, I felt like the genre was shifting every five minutes. It feels as though several genres we are familiar with have been presented through an unconventional style of narration.”

He further added, “There is a lot to the film. If I had to pick one aspect that I particularly enjoyed, it would be the drama. There is action as well, and we spent a considerable amount of time and resources on it. This is the first time I have spent so many shooting days working with stunt choreographer Yannick Ben. I believe this is also the longest he has worked on a Malayalam film. His entire team came from France, and we shot extensively in Thiruvananthapuram. However, despite having a lot of action, this is not an action film.” (Translated from Malayalam).

I, Nobody follows the story of Rajeevan, a family man and an employee whose world is turned upside down when he unexpectedly comes across something he was never meant to witness. As events begin to spiral, even the office he once trusted appears to work against him. With every twist wrapped in intrigue, the film explores whether he is truly connected to the unfolding events or merely caught in circumstances beyond his control.

Apart from Prithviraj, the film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Hakkim Shahjahan, Ashokan, Vijayaraghavan, Madhupal, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Khalid Rahman, and several others in key roles. Ahead of the movie’s release, the first single, Anthem of Nobody, composed by Jakes Bejoy, is set to be released on June 24, 2026.

Looking ahead, the actor has projects such as Daayra, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in his upcoming lineup. He has also announced the folklore horror film Odiyan, in which he stars alongside Manju Warrier.
