Idhayam Murali Release Date: Atharvaa, Fahadh Faasil’s film to hit big screens on July 10, 2026
Idhayam Murali starring Atharvaa Murali and Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming film is touted to be a romantic drama.
Idhayam Murali, starring Atharvaa Murali and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, is all set to hit theatres soon. Helmed by producer-turned-director Aakash Baskaran, the film is slated to release on the big screens on July 10, 2026.

Taking to social media, the makers wrote, “A ride through love begins in theatres this July. Idhayam Murali on the big screens from JULY 10, worldwide.”

Idhayam Murali is described as a coming-of-age romantic drama centered on the theme of one-sided love. The title references the 1991 Tamil film Idhayam, which starred Murali, the late father of Atharvaa Murali. Atharvaa had earlier clarified that the title reflects the film’s theme rather than serving solely as a tribute, making it clear that it does not have any other connection to his father’s iconic film.
With Fahadh Faasil recently joining the cast, the film will also feature musician Thaman S in an on-screen appearance. He has also composed the music for the movie. The composer had previously appeared as an actor in Boys, directed by S. Shankar.
Featuring Preity Mukhundhan and Kayadu Lohar as the female leads, the movie also stars Natty Subramaniam, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, Yashashree, and several others in key roles.
Produced and directed by Aakash Bhaskaran under the banner of Dawn Pictures, the film has Senthilkumar Kesavan serving as co-director. The cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, while editing is done by Pradeep E Ragav.
Atharvaa Murali and Fahadh Faasil’s work front
Atharvaa Murali was last seen in a lead role in Parasakthi. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film also starred Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela in prominent roles.
On the other hand, Fahadh Faasil played a pivotal role in Patriot, starring Mammootty and Mohanlal. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the spy action drama featured the Aavesham actor as the main antagonist. The film also starred Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Zarin Shihab, and others in key roles. Its digital streaming is set to begin on June 5, 2026, on ZEE5.
Looking ahead, the actor will appear in lead roles in the films Don’t Trouble The Trouble and Karate Chandran.
