I’m Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is slated to release in theaters on August 20, 2026, coinciding with the Onam festival this year. Now, the film’s art director has offered a glimpse into what audiences can expect from the movie when it arrives on the big screens this festive season.

Speaking to Gallery Vision Media, art director Ajayan Chalissery said, "I’m Game will be a grand-scale film. The movie has several technically brilliant professionals associated with it. It is a perfect celebratory entertainer, which is why we planned it as an Onam release." (Translated from Malayalam)

I’m Game follows a fearless player who trusts luck above all else. His life takes an unexpected turn when a series of surprising events unfolds around him, drawing him into an action-packed journey filled with twists, excitement, and memorable moments.

Directed by RDX fame Nahas Hidayath, the film also stars Antony Varghese Pepe, Sandy Master, Kathir, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and several others in prominent roles. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on August 20, 2026, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa.

Additionally, Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is also expected to arrive in theaters during the Onam season, although an official release date has yet to be announced.

Dulquer Salmaan’s work front

Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The film follows superstar TK Mahadevan, who is involved in a long-standing rivalry with his former mentor, filmmaker Ayya.

When Ayya attempts to revive his shelved project Saantha, Mahadevan steps in and transforms it into Kaantha to align with his own vision. As creative differences intensify, unexpected developments on the film set add intrigue to the story, while the relationship between Mahadevan and Ayya becomes increasingly complex.

Looking ahead, Dulquer is also working on Aakasam Lo Oka Tara. The upcoming adventure drama stars Shruti Haasan and debutant Satvika Veeravalli in leading roles and is set to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
