I’m Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is slated to release in theaters on August 20, 2026, coinciding with Onam this year. Now, it appears that the film’s plot has been revealed on a booking website, with DQ reportedly playing a fearless gambler in the flick.

Is Dulquer Salmaan playing a fearless gambler in I’m Game?

According to online reports, I’m Game’s synopsis was revealed after an overseas booking website included the film in its list of upcoming releases. As per the report, the movie’s synopsis reads: “A fearless gambler who trusts luck more than life gets caught in a series of crazy and unexpected events that turn his world upside down. What follows is a thrilling ride filled with fun, surprises, action, and unforgettable moments.”

While the film is yet to receive certification in India, it is reportedly expected to have a runtime of 3 hours (180 minutes), although this is subject to change. However, no official confirmation has been made by the makers so far.

I’m Game is expected to be a high-stakes action entertainer and is likely to hit theaters during Onam this year. Directed by RDX fame Nahas Hidayath, the film is expected to feature DQ in the role of a gambler.

Considered Dulquer Salmaan’s homecoming project in Malayalam cinema, the movie also stars Antony Varghese Pepe, Sandy Master, Kathir, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and several others in prominent roles.

Interestingly, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa: Part 1 and Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit are also gearing up for Onam release this year, with the former already confirming August 20 as its release date.

Dulquer Salmaan’s work front

Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The story follows superstar TK Mahadevan, who is caught in a long-standing, ego-driven feud with his former mentor, filmmaker Ayya.

When Ayya attempts to revive his shelved film Saantha, Mahadevan uses his influence to take over the project and reshape it into Kaantha to suit his own image. As tensions escalate, a mysterious demise on the film set turns the narrative into a thriller, while the rivalry between Mahadevan and Ayya intensifies.

Looking ahead, DQ is also filming Aakasam Lo Oka Tara. The upcoming adventure drama stars Shruti Haasan and debutant Satvika Veeravalli as the female leads and is set to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
