GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar are all set to star together in the lead roles in the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Immortal. Directed by Mariyappan Chinna, the film is slated to release in theaters on July 23, 2026.

Taking to his social media handle, GV Prakash Kumar shared the official release date of the film. The poster featured both lead actors in a terrifying situation, confirming the theatrical release date.

Immortal follows a young man living an ordinary life in an apartment complex who falls deeply in love with a mysterious woman who moves in nearby. As he begins daydreaming and fantasizing about getting closer to her, his seemingly harmless infatuation triggers a terrifying psychological transformation.

Soon, he is plagued by eerie hallucinations, paranormal occurrences, and strange creatures that relentlessly haunt him. As the boundaries between his romantic desires, reality, and nightmares begin to blur, he sets out to uncover the truth behind the haunting. His search leads him to dark, ancient secrets tied to immortality, revealing that his mysterious neighbor is hiding a terrifying truth connected to an ancient force.

Written and directed by Mariyappan Chinna, the film stars GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar in the lead roles. TM Karthik, Adithya Kathir, Kumar Natarajan, Sunita Shrestha, and several others play pivotal roles, while Sam CS has composed the film's songs and background score.

GV Prakash Kumar’s work front

GV Prakash Kumar was last seen in the lead role in Happy Raj. Directed by debutant Maria Raja Elanchezian, the romantic comedy also starred Abbas, Sri Gouri Priya, George Maryan, Geetha Kailasam, Prathana Nathan, Premgi Amaren, Ramji, and others in key roles.

On the music front, the composer will next have Srinivasa Mangapuram hitting the big screens. The film stars Mahesh Babu's nephew Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni alongside Rasha Thadani.

In addition, GV Prakash Kumar has an exciting slate of projects as a composer, including Suriya's Vishwanath & Sons, Soori's Mandaadi, Ravi Teja starrer Irumudi, Vishal-led Magudam, Dulquer Salmaan's Aakasamlo Oka Tara, and VenkyAnil5 - NKRANIL2, starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
