Allu Arjun and director-actor Basil Joseph have been making quite a buzz since speculations suggested that the duo might soon collaborate on a project. While an official confirmation is yet to be made, it seems that Athiradi director Arun Anirudhan has clarified whether the project could be Shaktimaan or not.

Is Allu Arjun’s film with Basil Joseph going to be Shaktimaan?

Speaking with Club FM 94.3, Athiradi director Arun Anirudhan revealed that he and Minnal Murali co-writer Paulson Skaria were involved in writing for Shaktimaan. However, the filmmaker also confirmed that the upcoming film with Allu Arjun is not that project.

The director said, “Paulson (Skaria) and I were writing the screenplay for Basil’s next directorial. Unfortunately, it did not go on the floors. It was supposed to be a massive film… Shaktimaan. I do not know whether it will happen or not; it is quite complicated.”

When asked whether Basil attended Allu Arjun’s brother Allu Sirish’s wedding due to their collaboration, the Athiradi director said, “Allu Arjun invited him. He has seen Minnal Murali, he liked it, and they are in touch.”

Moreover, the director added that they never pitched Shaktimaan to Allu Arjun. He said, “No… no. This (Allu Arjun film) has no connection with Shaktimaan. That is something different, and all updates will be shared soon.” (Translated from Malayalam.)
