The makers of Dragon had earlier confirmed that the film’s glimpse would be unveiled on May 20, 2026, coinciding with Jr NTR’s 43rd birthday. The glimpse is expected to release at midnight, with speculation also suggesting that updates regarding God of War and Devara 2 may be announced on the same day.

Dragon is said to be a large-scale action spectacle, with Rukmini Vasanth expected to play the female lead and Anil Kapoor cast in a pivotal role. Earlier reports had suggested that Tovino Thomas would join the project as the primary antagonist.

However, during a media interaction, the Pallichattambi actor confirmed that he had to step away from the project due to his commitments in Malayalam cinema. Reports now suggest that the makers are in talks with Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor for the role, although no official confirmation has been made so far.

Earlier, Dragon was scheduled to release on June 25, 2026. However, the film has now been postponed and is officially slated to hit theatres on June 11, 2027.
