Keerthy Suresh had last headlined the comedy drama Revolver Rita and has lined up several subsequent projects in her lineup. Now, it seems the actress has decided to lock in a new film as the lead.

Is Keerthy Suresh set to star in a romantic thriller?

According to Bollywood Hungama, a source stated that Keerthy Suresh was currently in talks with a leading filmmaker for a large-scale romance-thriller. The source added that, although nothing had been officially confirmed, industry speculation suggested that the project could mark another significant step in her career following a series of recent projects. It was further reported that the film was being mounted on a larger scale and might allow the actress to explore a genre she had not worked in extensively before.

Keerthy Suresh’s work front

Keerthy Suresh had last starred in a lead role in the movie Revolver Rita. The comedy drama was written and directed by JK. Chandru had Radikaa Sarathkumar, Super Subbarayan, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Suresh Chakravarthy, John Vijay, Redin Kingsley, and many more in key roles.

The film follows Rita and her mother in Pondicherry, who accidentally hurt a local hoodlum in their home. Now, the woman, along with her family, must navigate a chaotic web of cops, rivals, and the hoodlum's dangerous son while trying to survive.

Looking ahead, Keerthy will appear in a lead role for the movie Raftaar, co-starring with Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the film features Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala, and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is slated to release in theaters on October 16, 2026, coinciding with Dussehra.

Moreover, the actress had recently announced her project, Sathyavan Savithiri, a legal drama, directed by Praveen S Vijaay. Additionally, Keerthy is also the co-lead in Vijay Deverakonda’s Rowdy Janardhana, which is slated to hit the big screens in December 2026.

Furthermore, the actress also has films like Thottam alongside Antony Varghese Pepe in her lineup. She is also rumored to be part of Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s upcoming film with Anil Ravipudi.
