It's official: Ajith Kumar's Valimai to release on February 24; Box Office rampage guaranteed

Ajith Kumar's highly awaited film Valimai will be finally hitting the silver screens on 24 February. The makers have also released the latest poster of the film. The poster shows the Tamil star in a dapper look. The film looks promising and the superstar is ready for another blockbuster. Valimai is all set to take things up a notch at the box office. 

The action drama is of the most anticipated projects among the fans. However, the movie recently got pushed owing to the massive rise in COVID-19 cases. The Pan-India project was earlier scheduled to release on Pongal.

Helmed by H. Vinoth, the trailer for the film was well received by the audiences. Going by the glimpse, Ajith Kumar will be playing a cop in the film. It shows his journey from being a police officer to becoming a convict. It is a revenge tale. As Ajith Kumar essays the main character, Kartikeya will be seen as the antagonist in the film. The actor was highly appreciated for his anti-hero role in Nani’s Gang leader. Now, his character in Valimai has set major expectations for the audiences.

The film has been jointly backed by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor under Bayview Projects LLP. The project will be the second collaboration between Ajith Kumar and Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai. In the meantime, Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for Ajith Kumar’s next, and Nirav Shah has handled the cinematography.
