Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty misses an opportunity to work in Rajinikanth’s Darbar; Here’s Why

Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty revealed in an interview that he had to skip offer to work in Rajinikanth’s Darbar as he was busy with other commitments.

In a shocking revelation during an interview with Hindustan Times, Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty has stated that he missed opportunity to work with superstar Rajinikanth in Darbar. He mentioned that he was offered a key role in the movie but he could not take it up as he had other commitments. He also revealed that his role in the AR Murugadoss directoral was one of the key roles; however, he could not take it up as his upcoming multilingual fantasy thriller, Avane Srimannarayana kept him busy.

Rakshit agreed that it was a big offer and he regretted missing the opportunity to work with superstar. He also expressed his wish to collaborate with the megastar soon. Rakshit’s Avane Srimannarayana, will hit the big screens in December. Set in the 70’s and 80’s, the makers took almost two years in creating the film. The movie will be dubbed and released in five languages - Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. Apart from Rakshit, the Sachin Ravi directorial also starrs Balaji Manohar, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty.

Darbar on the other hand, is all set to hit the big screens during 2020 Pongal festival. After ‘Pandiyan’, ‘Darbar’ will have Rajinikanth playing a cop after about two decades. Recently, it was revealed that Darbar will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Produced by Lyca productions, Darbar is the first film which has Rajinikanth and AR Murugadoss collaborating. Music score is being composed by Anirudh Ravichandar and the first song ‘Chumma Kizhi’ was received with amazing response by the fans of Rajinikanth.
