KHxRK Reunion, starring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in the lead roles, is one of the most anticipated upcoming films, as it marks the reunion of the two legendary stars on the big screen after several years. Now, reports suggest that Trisha Krishnan may join the cast as the female lead.

According to a report by Filmibeat, Trisha Krishnan is expected to be roped in for the tentatively titled KHxRK Reunion. The report also claims that the actress may demand a massive remuneration for the project, adding further star power to the ensemble cast.
However, the makers have not made any official announcement yet, and more clarity is expected in due course. Interestingly, Trisha has previously worked with Kamal Haasan in films such as Manmadhan Ambu, Thoongaavanam, and Thug Life. She also shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Petta.
For those unaware, KHxRK Reunion is an upcoming film starring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in the lead roles. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie marks the reunion of two stalwarts of Tamil cinema. The promotional teaser hinted at a stylish and light-hearted action entertainer.
Reportedly, the veteran actors are expected to begin filming in October 2026, with the makers aiming for a Diwali 2027 release.
A recent report also suggested that Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and director Nelson Dilipkumar are expected to receive a combined remuneration of around Rs 500 crore. The film’s total estimated budget is reportedly between Rs 650 crore and Rs 700 crore. However, these figures have not been officially confirmed by the makers.
Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Trisha’s work front
Rajinikanth is next set to star in the tentatively titled Thalaivar173. The film was initially announced with Sundar C as the director, but he later opted out of the project. Cibi Chakravarthi was reportedly brought on board as his replacement. However, due to prior commitments with another production company, he too may step away from the project. Reports now suggest that Ashwath Marimuthu could take over with a fresh script, although the makers have not yet made an official announcement.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan will next appear in KH237, directed by stunt choreographer duo AnbAriv.
On the other hand, Trisha Krishnan will soon be seen in Karuppu, a fantasy action drama starring Suriya, which is slated for release on May 14, 2026.
