Soori and Suhas-starrer Mandaadi is an upcoming sports action drama directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, best known for the 2022 film Selfie. The film is slated to release in theatres on September 4, 2026.

Soori and Suhas’ Mandaadi Release Date

Mandaadi's release date was officially confirmed by the makers on social media. Sharing the update, the team wrote, “A story born from the sea is ready to conquer the world. Mandaadi arrives in cinemas worldwide on September 4, 2026!”

Mandaadi follows the story of a traditional fishing captain who uses his maritime knowledge to lead a six-member team in a competitive annual sailboat race along the coast of Tamil Nadu. The film explores themes of redemption, fierce rivalries, and survival.

Apart from Soori, the film stars Telugu actor Suhas as the co-lead. It also features Mahima Nambiar, Krish Hassan, Aavesham fame Mithun Jai Shankar, Sathyaraj, and others in key roles.

Soori and Suhas’ work front

Soori was last seen in a lead role in Maaman, directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj. The drama, based on a story written by the actor himself, follows Inba, a man who shares a close bond with his nephew. However, their lives take a turn after Inba gets married, leading to misunderstandings between them.

The film also stars Rajkiran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Swasika, Baba Bhaskar, Bala Saravanan, and others in pivotal roles.

Looking ahead, the actor has announced his seventh film as a lead, tentatively titled Soori07. The upcoming gritty action entertainer is directed by Ayalaan filmmaker Ravikumar and will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

Moreover, his film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, co-starring Nivin Pauly and Anjali, is yet to receive a wide release despite premiering at the Rotterdam Film Festival.

On the other hand, Suhas was last seen in the lead role in Hey Balwanth. Directed by Gopi Atchara, the comedy drama also stars Shivani Nagaram, Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Sudharshan, and others in key roles. The film received mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office.

Looking ahead, the actor has films such as Cable Reddy and Anandrao Adventures in his lineup.
