Mani Ratnam gets singer Sid Sriram to compose music for his upcoming film; Details inside

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Tamil film, Vaanam Kottatum will see the singer Sid Sriram don the hat of a music composer as per a report in Times of India. Sid Sriram has many Tamil and Telugu chartbusters to his credit. Now, the singer is looking forward to make his debut as a music composer with Mani Ratnam’s next Tamil venture, Vaanam Kottatum. The makers of this film had initially signed Govind Vasantha as the music composer for this film. But, this film got delayed and eventually Govind Vasantha could not make time for this Mani Ratnam film.

Singer Sid Sriram was then brought on board for the film as the music composer. While speaking to Times of India, Siva Ananth, the executive producer said that they wanted Govind Vasantha to do the music for this film, but the film did not start on time and unfortunately the music composer could not manage the dates for this film. He further added that the film needed a young and dynamic talent as the music composer and hence they roped in singer Sid Sriram. Siva Ananth further says that Sid Sriram will be looking to make a very different kind of music for this film.

A fresh album that has some unique elements will be made for this film. At this time the concept of the music is underway and soon it will be finalized. He also said that director Dhanasekaran to trying to capture various emotional layers in this film. Sid Sriram says that he had some very delightful conversations with Mani Ratnam with regards to the music of this film.
