The makers of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan are tight lipped and there has been no official announcement regarding the film after its official launch. However, several cast members have shared photos and updates about the film’s progress. A couple of days back, choreographer Brindha Ganesh stated on Twitter that she was spellbound with the sets of the film and with the music of AR Rahman, while spilling the beans that something amazing is on the cards.

Now, a new report has come up stating that Ponniyin Selvan’s shooting will be wrapped up on March 5th. According to The Times of India, the shooting is going on at a brisk pace and the makers are following a routine of starting the shoot at 8 AM and it is going on till 11 PM. The report further added that the makers to eyeing to release the film on Diwali 2021.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan is based on the Tamil novel of the same name written by Kalki. The film has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Karthi in the lead roles. Other actors including Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashwin Kakumanu will also be seen playing crucial roles. Veteran actors including Jayaram, Lal, Mohan Raman, Riyaz Khan, Vijayakumar will be seen playing key roles. Recently, it was reported that ‘Nizhalgal’ Ravi will also be seen in the film in a prominent role. It is expected that the makers will announce an official update about the film soon.
