Telugu film Manmadhudu 2, starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh has released today, August 9th. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the comedy family-entertainer has set high expectations among the audience. From songs to the trailer, Manmadhudu 2 has managed to create the much-needed pre-release business. The film also starring Samantha Akkineni and Keerthy Suresh in a cameo is a sequel to Manmadhudu. It was one of the highest-grossing Telugu films in 2002. Manmadhudu 2 is the Telugu adaptation of the French film 'I Do' as confirmed by Nagarjuna Akkineni during one of the promotional events of the film.

Well, Nagarjuna's film has opened to a positive response by the audience and critics alike.  Going by the first review on Twitter, the Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer has managed to live up to audience expectations. One of the Twitter users who has watched the film, wrote, "Hilarious First half Totally laugh riot #Manmadhudu2 Nag as fck boy is crazyystttt @vennelakishoreis Babyyyyyyyy rocked it.Congrats for the Blockbuster." While the first half has got good reviews, a section of the audience has found the second half of Manmadhudu 2 as average.

Ahead of the release, in an interview with India Today, the superstar was asked if the character in the film is anything like him. Naga shared, “Ahh....nothing like that (laughs). A film is a film, and real life is real life. I'm very clear at that and one shouldn't get confused. What you are in your life, you cannot be in a film. It doesn't work that way and it'll be boring (laughs).”
