Mega158, starring Chiranjeevi in the lead role, is currently under production under the direction of Bobby Kolli. After wrapping up its first schedule in Pollachi, the team has now moved to Hyderabad for the next phase of filming.

Taking to social media, the makers wrote, "From the picturesque locales of Pollachi to an explosive new chapter. MEGA158's second schedule begins in Hyderabad and is progressing at a blazing pace, where Megastar Chiranjeevi is turning every shot into a spectacle and every scene into a celebration."

Earlier, the team shared an update from the sets. In the pictures released, Chiranjeevi was seen alongside actresses Anaswara Rajan and Nivetha Pethuraj. The film is expected to be an action entertainer with a strong emotional core, with reports suggesting that Anaswara may be playing the Megastar's daughter. However, the makers have not officially confirmed the details.

Ram Charan also recently visited the film's sets and celebrated Father's Day with Chiranjeevi.

Thaman S has been officially announced as the music composer for the project. Reports further suggest that Coolie actress Rachita Ram is part of the cast and may have replaced Honey Rose, who was earlier rumored to be associated with the role.

Chiranjeevi’s work front

Chiranjeevi was last seen in the lead role in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The action-comedy entertainer featured Nayanthara as the female lead, along with a special appearance by Venkatesh Daggubati.

The film follows Shankara Varaprasad, an officer married to Sasirekha, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Despite her father's reservations, the couple gets married but eventually parts ways due to differences and misunderstandings.

Six years later, Varaprasad sets out to rebuild his relationship with his family. As he works toward reconciliation, an unexpected challenge from his past returns, prompting him to protect his loved ones while navigating personal and emotional hurdles. The film is currently available for streaming on ZEE5.

Additionally, the actor has completed work on his fantasy action entertainer Viswambhara, which is expected to arrive in theaters in 2026, although an official release date has not yet been announced.
