Chiranjeevi starrer highly anticipated Mega158 had its star-studded grand launch event on May 21, 2026.
Chiranjeevi fans have another big reason to celebrate as the Megastar’s next project, tentatively titled Mega158, has officially been launched with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Directed by Bobby Kolli, also known as KS Ravindra, the film marks the much-awaited reunion of the actor-director duo after the blockbuster success of Waltair Veerayya.
Power Star Pawan Kalyan gives the official clap
The launch event turned into a star-studded family affair with Chiranjeevi's younger brother and actor, Pawan Kalyan giving the ceremonial clap for the film. Naga Babu was also present to bless the project, and the appearance of the Mega family together grabbed everyone's attention.
Mega158 Cast
Mega 158 is expected to be a high-voltage mass entertainer with Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Reports suggest that National Award-winning actor Priyamani will play a pivotal role opposite the Megastar. The film also features Malayalam actor Anaswara Rajan, who reportedly plays Chiranjeevi’s daughter in the movie.
Anaswara, who impressed Telugu audiences with her debut performance in Champion, is said to have earned praise from both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for her professionalism and screen presence. While the rest of the cast details are yet to be announced, Ram Charan was not seen at the launch event.
KVN Productions make their Telugu debut
The film is being produced by KVN Productions, marking the banner’s first Telugu venture. The production house is known for backing major projects such as KD – The Devil starring Dhruva Sarja, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups featuring Yash, and Jana Nayagan starring Vijay.
Popular music composer Thaman S will handle the soundtrack, while acclaimed cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan has been roped in as the director of photography. Production design will be overseen by Avinash Kolla. The regular shooting schedule for Mega158 is expected to begin soon.
