Chiranjeevi is next set to star in the tentatively titled Mega158 (ChiruBobby2), reuniting with director Bobby Kolli for the second time. Now, it appears that the film may feature Coolie actress Rachita Ram in a key role.

Mega158: Chiranjeevi’s actioner to have Coolie’s Rachita Ram in a key role?

According to a report by Gulte, the makers of Chiranjeevi-starrer Mega158 have decided to rope in Rachita Ram for a key role in the film. The character was initially expected to be played by Malayalam actress Honey Rose. However, it appears that she has now been replaced by the Coolie actress.

That said, this remains a report for now, and no official confirmation has been made by the makers. Rachita Ram recently appeared in the Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, playing the role of Kalyani Dilip, which also marked her debut in Tamil cinema.

Mega158 was recently launched, with the makers conducting a pooja ceremony that had Pawan Kalyan attending as the chief guest. As the film is expected to be a massive action entertainer with an emotional backdrop, actress Anaswara Rajan has been roped in to play a pivotal role, reportedly as the Megastar’s daughter. Moreover, musician Thaman S has been officially announced as the film’s music composer.

The project also marks Bobby Kolli’s second collaboration with Chiranjeevi after the 2023 blockbuster Waltair Veerayya.

Chiranjeevi’s work front

Chiranjeevi was last seen in the lead role in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The action-comedy entertainer featured Nayanthara as the female lead, along with an extended cameo appearance by Venkatesh Daggubati.

The film follows Shankara Varaprasad, an officer married to Sasirekha, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Despite her father’s disapproval, the couple gets married but later separates due to ongoing conflicts and misunderstandings.

Six years later, as Varaprasad attempts to mend his broken relationship and reunite with his family, a past enemy resurfaces and threatens their safety. How he balances his personal struggles with this new danger forms the core of the story.

Moreover, the actor has wrapped up work on his fantasy action entertainer Viswambhara, which is expected to hit the big screens in 2026, although an official release date is yet to be announced.

Looking ahead, Chiranjeevi also has a project lined up with The Paradise director Srikanth Odela.
