Mollywood Times director confirms no trailer for Naslen starrer

In a recent post on social media, a user commented that the makers had poorly planned the film’s release by choosing not to unveil a trailer. Responding to the remark, the director wrote, “No pre-release trailer for Mollywood Times. Watch the film without knowing too much about it. If possible, don’t even watch the teaser.”

Here’s the post:

Mollywood Times follows a young man who dreams of becoming the greatest horror filmmaker in Malayalam cinema, drawing inspiration from M. Night Shyamalan. The story focuses on the challenges he faces and the lengths he goes to in pursuit of that dream. The film is being touted as a “hate letter” to cinema.

The movie stars Naslen in the lead role, with Sharaf U Dheen appearing as the co-lead. Apart from them, the cast includes Sangeeth Prathap, Althaf Salim, Roshan Shanavas, Prasanth Alexander, Rajesh Madhavan, and several others in key roles. Additionally, Basil Joseph and Vineeth Sreenivasan are expected to appear in cameo appearances.

Naslen’s work front

Naslen is currently working on Suriya’s next film, tentatively titled Suriya47. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the action-comedy entertainer is said to feature the Karuppu actor as an eccentric police officer, with Nazriya Nazim Fahadh playing the female lead. With Sushin Shyam composing the music, the film is expected to wrap up production by the end of June 2026.

Looking ahead, Naslen has completed filming for the sequel film, Bachelor Party D’eux, and is also part of Asif Ali’s Tiki Taka. Moreover, the actor has been confirmed as a member of the cast of the Mammootty-starrer Mattancherry Mafia, directed by Khalidh Rahman.

Earlier, the Lokah actor was expected to star in the sequel to Premalu. However, Naslen has since confirmed that the project has been shelved due to issues with the screenplay.
