Young star Naslen and director Abhinav Sunder Nayak have come up with a family entertainer, Mollywood Times. Known for his 2022 directorial debut with the dark comedy film Mukundan Unni Associates, director Abhinav returns with a movie that is equally entertaining.
In their review, a user called it a ‘solid film.’ They further penned, “#MollywoodTimes A Solid film. Personally, I loved it. The writing was so good at certain points that it genuinely made me jealous. Kudos to @abhinavsnayak for a strong second outing. A name to watch out for. Not flawless, but its strengths easily outweigh its flaws.”
Another cinema lover stated, “A horror watch for aspiring filmmakers! A good first half followed by a decent yet tiring second half. Movie shows things that happens inside the cinema industry and it was kinda new to see something like that. Not a usual underdog story.”

Mollywood Times revolves around Vineeth Madhavan (played by Naslen), a teenager from Kuttikkanam. Vineeth falls head over heels in love with cinema as a child after watching The Mummy, and is deeply inspired by the Indian-origin Hollywood giant. Now, his ultimate life goal is to become the greatest horror filmmaker in Malayalam cinema.
The film boasts a fantastic ensemble cast including Naslen, Sharaf U Dheen, Sangeeth Prathap, Jagadish, Prasanth Alexander, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan.
