Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, have been making headlines as they prepare to welcome their first child. Following the success of Maa Inti Bangaaram, Samantha has now confirmed that she will be taking a maternity break from cinema.

Speaking with Behindwoods, Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “I am going to take a break on the high of Maa Inti Bangaaram’s success. I’m gonna take a little break, actually. It feels great to take this break on this sort of hype.”
Samantha had been papped in public where she had appeared with a baby bump alongside her husband, Raj Nidimoru. While the actress hadn’t officially confirmed the same, we at Pinkvilla had exclusively reported that the actress is pregnant and is due around December 2026.
The actress was recently spotted in public alongside Raj Nidimoru. Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi had also shared his wishes for the couple as they embark on a new chapter in their lives.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s work front
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in the lead role in Maa Inti Bangaaram. The film follows Swarna, a seemingly innocent newlywed living with her husband in a traditional and conservative household.
While trying to earn the acceptance of her skeptical in-laws, she keeps parts of her past hidden. However, when events from her former life resurface, she finds herself protecting her family from a group that threatens their peace and stability.
Apart from Samantha, the film features Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth Manchale in key roles. Gautami Tadimalla, Sreemukhi, Manjusha, Srinivas Gavireddy, and several others also play pivotal characters.
Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film features music and background scores composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Om Prakash handled the cinematography, while Dharmendra Kakarala served as the editor.
Looking ahead, the actress is set to appear as a co-lead in the web series Rakt Brahmānd: The Bloody Kingdom, alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ali Fazal.
