NBK111: Manchu Manoj joins Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming actioner with director Gopichandh Malineni

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Gopichandh Malineni are all set to collaborate once again for the tentatively titled NBK111. As the film gears up for its shoot, actor Manchu Manoj has officially joined the cast.

Taking to social media, the makers of NBK111 shared the official update announcing Manchu Manoj’s inclusion in the cast on the occasion of the actor’s 43rd birthday.
After joining the cast, the actor penned a heartfelt note that read, “Some birthdays come as blessings. And this birthday has brought me one of the most special gifts I could have asked for. And finally… it’s happening. A long-awaited combination with our Lion NBK Balayya Anna, under the direction of Gopichand Malineni Garu. A moment that makes this birthday all the more memorable and deeply personal for me.”
The actor further stated that, among everything that lay ahead, the project would always remain especially close to his heart because of the bond and respect he shared with both Balayya Anna and Gopichand Garu. He also thanked everyone for their love and heartfelt wishes.
Manoj further promised fans that, amid the exciting lineup ahead, this project would be a solid treat on screen and truly worth the wait. Calling the excitement real, the actor said that he could not wait to bring this special journey to the audience.

While more details about the project are yet to be revealed, the makers had initially announced that Nayanthara would play the female lead in the NBK starrer. However, reports suggest that she might step away from the role due to prior commitments, with Kajal Aggarwal expected to replace her. An official confirmation, however, is still awaited.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s work front
Nandamuri Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The fantasy supernatural film served as a sequel to Akhanda (2021). Apart from Balakrishna, the movie also starred Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The film received mixed-to-negative reviews and reportedly underperformed at the box office.
Recently, the veteran actor also announced his collaboration with director Koratala Siva for a project tentatively titled NBK112. The film’s final title is reportedly Carpenter, with Anirudh Ravichander likely to compose the songs and background score.
