NBK112 starring Nandamuri Balakrishna is the upcoming actioner, helmed by Devara fame Koratala Siva.
Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva are currently working on their next film together, tentatively titled NBK112. The team officially began work on June 25, 2026, with a pooja ceremony.
As the film gears up to begin production, let’s take a look at its budget and when audiences can expect it to hit theaters.
NBK112: What is the budget for Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer?
According to Aakashavaani, NBK112 is being made on a budget of Rs 150-200 crore. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri reportedly confirmed the same during the film’s launch event in Amaravati.
The film is expected to go on floors in August 2026, with the team targeting a Summer 2027 release. While work on the project has officially begun, the rest of the cast and core crew have yet to be announced.
Earlier reports suggested that the film would be an action entertainer with the title Carpenter. It has also been reported that Anirudh Ravichander may compose the music. However, no official confirmation has been made.
The film is expected to be a mass action entertainer packed with commercial elements, and the title is said to appeal to pan-Indian audiences. It is also believed to have strong recall value and align well with Balakrishna’s on-screen image.
Speaking about the film, director Koratala Siva said, “I grew up watching NBK’s films, and like all of you, I am also a fan of NBK. I will make sure to give fans and movie lovers a memorable cinematic experience with this film.”
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s work front
Nandamuri Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The fantasy action drama is a sequel to Akhanda. Apart from Balakrishna, the film also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The film received mixed reviews and did not perform as expected at the box office.
Looking ahead, the actor is also set to collaborate with director Gopichandh Malineni on another project, tentatively titled NBK111. Nayanthara was initially announced as the female lead opposite Balakrishna. However, reports later indicated that Kajal Aggarwal would replace her, while Manoj Manchu is expected to play the main antagonist.
