NBK112: Nandamuri Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s film to be titled Carpenter? Anirudh Ravichander likely to join
With rumors about Devara 2 being shelved doing the rounds, it seems director Koratala Siva might have locked the title for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NBK112.
Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva are all set to collaborate on the tentatively titled NBK112. Now, reports suggest that the makers have locked in the title Carpenter for the film.
NBK112: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film with Koratala Siva titled Carpenter?
According to a report by Gulte, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s pan-Indian action drama has been titled Carpenter. The film is expected to be a mass action entertainer packed with commercial elements, and the title is said to appeal to pan-Indian audiences. It is also believed to have strong recall value and suit Balakrishna’s on-screen image.
Apart from the title, reports claim that Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in as the music composer. If confirmed, this would mark the Leo composer’s first collaboration with Balakrishna and his second project with Koratala Siva after Devara: Part 1. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers so far.
Reportedly, the film will have a pooja ceremony on May 21, 2026, with regular shooting expected to begin in July this year. The movie is also likely to hit theatres in the summer of 2027.
NBK112 was recently announced by the makers with a poster featuring the Daaku Maharaaj actor. Following the announcement, several reports speculated about whether Koratala Siva had decided to shelve Devara: Part 2. However, no official update has been shared regarding the project.
Nandamuri Balakrishnan’s work front
Nandamuri Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The fantasy action drama is a sequel to Akhanda. Apart from Balakrishna, the film also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The film received mixed-to-negative reviews and underperformed at the box office.
Looking ahead, the actor is also set to collaborate with director Gopichandh Malineni on another project, tentatively titled NBK111.
