Mohanlal has teamed up with director Dileesh Pothan for a new film titled Nedumkandam Miracle. The makers have officially unveiled the promo, featuring the superstar with his face concealed.

Taking to social media, Mohanlal unveiled the promo, confirming his collaboration with Dileesh Pothan. The film will be produced by Achu Baby John, son of producer Shibu Baby John.

With Kumbalangi Nights writer Shyam Pushkaran and Kaathal - The Core fame Paulson Skaria penning the screenplay, the film will feature music composed by Sushin Shyam, marking his first collaboration with Mohanlal since the 2017 neo-noir thriller Villain.

Shyju Khalid will handle the cinematography, while Saiju Sreedharan will serve as the editor. Reportedly, the film will be shot across Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, and Idukki. Further details about the plot have not yet been revealed.

The project was first confirmed by producers Antony Perumbavoor and Shibu Baby John during an earlier television interaction.

Mohanlal’s work front

Mohanlal was last seen in the lead role in Drishyam 3. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is the third instalment in the thriller-drama franchise, with Meena, Ansiba Haasan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Asha Sarath, Kalabhavan Shajon, and Siddique reprising their roles. Following its theatrical run, the film is now streaming on Prime Video.

The actor is currently working on his next film, Athimanoharam, directed by Tharun Moorthy. The film stars Meera Jasmine as the female lead and is slated for release on December 24, 2026, coinciding with the Christmas holiday. While further details about the film are yet to be revealed, Mohanlal is expected to portray a police officer.

Looking ahead, Mohanlal has projects lined up with directors Vishnu Mohan and Priyadarshan. His film with the Oppam director was initially expected to begin later this year. However, following revisions to the screenplay, the makers have reportedly postponed the shoot to 2027.

Mohanlal is also expected to make cameo appearances in Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa, Rajinikanth's Jailer 2, and his daughter Vismaya Mohanlal's debut film, Thudakkam.
