Pawan Kalyan hit the big screens with They Call Him OG (or OG) in 2025, which turned out to be a theatrical success. Now, the makers seem keen to begin work on the sequel, with the shoot likely to commence later this year.

Is OG 2 beginning to shoot in November 2026?

According to online reports by Gulte and Indiaglitz, OG 2, starring Pawan Kalyan, is expected to begin shooting in November 2026. Moreover, the team is reportedly planning to launch the film on September 2, 2026, coinciding with the actor’s birthday. However, these remain reports for now, and no official confirmation has been made.

Recently, the actor’s team confirmed that discussions regarding OG 2 are currently underway. Apparently, director Sujeeth is abroad, and the makers are expected to begin formal discussions after he returns.

Earlier, the director was expected to helm the Nani starrer Bloody Romeo next. However, reports indicate that the film might be delayed.

OG, starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, follows the story of Ojas Gambheera (aka OG), a former samurai who, at a young age, boards a ship to India and becomes the protector of a businessman named Satyanarayana. As OG rises to become a feared bad man in Bombay, he is eventually forced into hiding for 10 years, returning in 1993 to seek revenge against a rival, Omi Bhau.

The film explores why OG was driven into hiding, the origins of his animosity toward Omi, and who ultimately comes out on top. With Emraan Hashmi playing the primary antagonist, the film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, Prakash Raj, and several others in pivotal roles.

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the lead role in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar. The film follows the story of a man inspired by his teacher, who names him Bhagat Singh and shapes his values. It revolves around a tribal boy who grows up with strong morals and unwavering courage, standing firmly, and taking on evil forces despite overwhelming odds.

Apart from PSPK, the film also stars Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, Rajeev Kanakala, and Gautami in key roles.
