Peddi: Chiranjeevi reviews trailer of son Ram Charan’s sports actioner ahead of release, ‘Far beyond expectations’
Peddi is the upcoming sports action drama starring Ram Charan in the lead role, directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Ram Charan starrer Peddi is gearing up for its release on June 4, 2026, after multiple postponements. With the makers preparing to unveil the trailer on May 18, 2026, it appears that Chiranjeevi has already watched it and couldn’t contain his excitement.
Chiranjeevi reviews Ram Charan’s Peddi trailer
Taking to his social media handle, Chiranjeevi shared a short note about the Peddi trailer, expressing his excitement for the film. The Megastar wrote, “I watched the Peddi trailer!! Just… wow. Three minutes of pure fire, power-packed trailer!! Charan… Buchi… Rahman… each one gave their absolute best… but together, they completely blew it out of the park!”
The veteran star continued, “No matter how much you imagine it… this trailer goes far beyond expectations. Emotion… elevation… madness… everything is on another level! By the way… It’s been a long time since I gave you all a Chiru Leaks update. ‘You all think I merely played… but I fought, sir…’ Sorry, Buchi Babu… after watching this, I just couldn’t control myself!” (translated from Telugu).

Peddi is said to revolve around a cricket tournament set against a rural backdrop. The promotional glimpses have also showcased Ram Charan in a rugged, pehelwan-like avatar with a heavily built physique.
Apart from Charan, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani in key roles. Reports further suggest that the film will feature a special dance number composed by AR Rahman, with Shruti Haasan reportedly making a cameo appearance.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama was initially scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, before being postponed to April 30. It is now officially set to hit theatres on June 4, 2026.
Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi’s work front
Following Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar for the tentatively titled RC17. Although an official announcement has not yet been made, reports suggest that the project could be launched sometime between May and June 2026.
On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is next expected to appear in the fantasy film Vishwambhara, which is yet to receive an official release date. Moreover, the veteran star is also expected to collaborate with director Bobby Kolli for the tentatively titled Mega158 and has another project lined up with director Srikanth Odela.
