Peddi Honest Trailer Review: Ram Charan’s sports actioner promises a tense battle for greatness against all odds

Ram Charan starrer Peddi is all set to storm theaters on June 4, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the makers have unveiled their trailer, offering a promising glimpse into the sports-action world.

The trailer of Peddi runs for 3 minutes and 7 seconds and revolves around one man known for his power and grit, Peddi. With Ram Charan taking on the titular role, the trailer showcases why he is beloved by the people, emerging as a central figure in the village through cricket, wrestling, and marathon competitions, making him a local hero.
As his rise to greatness becomes the central focus, Peddi must prove his prowess against all odds, with adversaries challenging him at every step, no matter the cost he has to pay.

Apart from moments of gritty action, Janhvi Kapoor is introduced as Achiyamma, who appears to be Peddi’s spirited love interest. Moreover, Diveyenndu is showcased as the main antagonist, standing against Peddi at every turn.
While the trailer’s editing does feel slightly uneven at times, the visuals stand out impressively. Additionally, the background score seems to lack impact in certain portions, but toward the end, it delivers a signature touch from AR Rahman.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, and several others in key roles. The sports-action drama was initially scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, before being postponed to April 30. It is now officially set to hit theaters on June 4, 2026.
Although unconfirmed, reports suggest that the makers have roped in Shruti Haasan for a cameo dance number in the film. Reportedly, the new single will be released on May 23, 2026, just days ahead of the movie’s theatrical release.
Ram Charan’s work front
Following Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar for the tentatively titled RC17. Although an official announcement has not yet been made, reports suggest that the project could be launched sometime between May and June 2026.
