Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, is slated to release in theaters on June 4, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama is all set to hit the big screens, with its plot seemingly revealed through online booking platforms.

Peddi Plot Revealed

According to online reports, Peddi has opened bookings in Singapore. With the film just hours away from its premiere, the booking platform described it as follows: “Peddi is a sports drama set in 1980s Andhra Pradesh, revolving around the journey of a gifted athlete from a marginalized tribal community who overcomes adversity to achieve sporting glory while championing the rights and recognition of his people.”

It has also been revealed that the film has a runtime of 3 hours and 7 minutes.

The trailer for Peddi introduced a young and spirited man from a village who is regarded as a legend in multiple sports, including cricket, wrestling, and running. As he navigates the challenges of everyday life, he faces the biggest test of his journey and strives to make a name for himself through the talent he has honed over the years.

The sports action drama is touted as a journey of self-discovery and excellence. The film also explores themes of personal rivalry and budding romance. Alongside Ram Charan, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, and others in pivotal roles.

Initially, the film was scheduled to release on March 27, 2026, before being postponed to April 30, 2026. However, due to pending production work, the makers ultimately finalized June 4, 2026, as the release date, particularly after Yash’s Toxic was postponed.

The makers recently unveiled the album of Peddi, featuring tracks such as Chikiri Chikiri, Rai Rai Raa Raa, Hellallallo, and Massa Massa, all composed by AR Rahman.

Ram Charan’s work front

Ram Charan was previously seen in the lead role in S. Shankar’s action drama Game Changer. The film, which received an underwhelming response from both critics and audiences, is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.

Following Peddi, Charan is expected to collaborate with Sukumar on the tentatively titled RC17. The upcoming project will mark their second collaboration after the blockbuster success of Rangasthalam.
