Speaking with ANI, Ram Charan underlined how strong box office numbers can benefit an actor’s next film, though he emphasized that numbers are not the only thing that matters. He said, “Good box office performance is related to the next film. You get the scope to experiment more. So numbers are important, but they are not the only thing.”
More about Peddi
Peddi revolves around a young and spirited man from a village who is regarded as a legend in multiple sports, including cricket, wrestling, and running. As he navigates the challenges of everyday life, he faces the biggest test of his journey and strives to make a name for himself using the talent he has honed over the years.
The sports action drama is touted as a journey of self-discovery and excellence. The film also explores themes of personal rivalry and budding romance. Alongside Ram Charan, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, and others in key roles.
Initially, the film was scheduled to release on March 27, 2026, and was later postponed to April 30, 2026. However, due to pending production work, the makers ultimately locked June 4, 2026, as the final release date, especially after Yash’s Toxic was postponed.
The makers recently unveiled the album of Peddi, featuring tracks such as Chikiri Chikiri, Rai Rai Raa Raa, Hellallallo, and Massa Massa, composed by AR Rahman.
Ram Charan’s work front
Previously, Ram Charan was seen in the lead role in S. Shankar’s action drama “Game Changer.” The film, which received an underwhelming response from both critics and audiences, is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
After Peddi, Charan is expected to collaborate with Sukumar on the tentatively titled RC17. The upcoming project will mark their second collaboration following the success of Rangasthalam.
