Ram Charan starrer Peddi was released in theaters on June 4, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama appears set to continue its theatrical run with additional footage being added.

In an official post on social media, the makers confirmed that Peddi will be screened in theaters from June 18, 2026, with additional footage attached. The film is set to receive an extra 5 minutes and 56 seconds of footage for fans to enjoy.

Sharing the update, the team wrote, “The Peddi experience gets better.”

Set in a neglected village in Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s, Peddi follows a cricketer-for-hire who plays for any team willing to pay him. While in love with Achiyamma, the sarpanch’s daughter, Peddi becomes inspired by Appalasuri, a villager who has spent years unsuccessfully fighting to secure a railway halt and official recognition for their village.

Determined to fulfill Appalasuri’s dream, Peddi embarks on a challenging journey, using his sporting talent to champion the cause. His transformation from a mercenary player into a true sportsman under the guidance of his mentor Gournaidu, along with the sacrifices he makes along the way is explored in the story.

Apart from Charan, the film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, Viji Chandrasekhar, and others in key roles. Actress Shruti Haasan made a cameo appearance in the song Hellallallo.

Peddi features songs and a background score composed by AR Rahman, while R. Rathnavelu handled the cinematography and Naveen Nooli served as the editor.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has received mixed reviews from critics, with much of the criticism directed at the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor’s character.

Looking ahead, Ram Charan is expected to next star in the tentatively titled RC17. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will be helmed by Sukumar, marking the actor-director duo’s reunion after Rangasthalam.
