Peddi Runtime: Is Ram Charan’s sports action drama going to be more than 3 hours long? Here’s what we know

Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead role, is slated to release in theatres on June 4, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama is reportedly expected to have a runtime of more than three hours.

According to a report by Telugu Chitraalu, Peddi is expected to have a runtime of 190 minutes, which translates to 3 hours and 10 minutes. Although the duration is shorter than that of pan-Indian releases like Dhurandhar and Animal, the film still appears to have a lengthy runtime.
However, this remains an unconfirmed report, as the makers have not yet made an official announcement regarding the runtime. The team recently revealed that the film’s trailer will be released on May 18, 2026.

Peddi is said to revolve around a cricket tournament set against a rural backdrop. While more details about the film are yet to be revealed, the cinematographer and art director have highlighted its emotional depth, which is said to create a genuine connection with the audience.
Alongside Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, the ensemble cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani in key roles.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena under the banners of Vriddhi Cinema and IVY Entertainment. The film was initially scheduled to release on March 27, 2026, before being postponed to April 30. It is now officially set to hit theatres on June 4, 2026.
Recently, the team announced that the film had entered the final stages of production. A song sequence is currently being shot as part of the final schedule, and Shruti Haasan is expected to make a cameo appearance. Earlier, there were speculations that Mrunal Thakur would feature in the dance number, but it now appears that the makers have chosen Haasan instead.
Ram Charan’s next film
After Peddi, Ram Charan is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar for the tentatively titled RC17. Although an official announcement has not yet been made, rumors suggest that the project may be launched sometime between May and June 2026.
