Recently, Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor among others were spotted at PM Narendra Modi’s 'Change Within Meet' event and also an initiative to mark Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. With the members of the entertainment world were spotted under one roof on Saturday evening, no actor from the South Indian film industry was present at the event. Telugu star Ram Charan’s wife Upasana took to Instagram and raised a question about how PM Modi has neglected South Indian Film Industry.

After Upasana, politician and popular actress Khushbu Sundar took to Twitter and expressed her disappointment on how Modi has neglected Southern film industry. In the series of Tweets, she wrote, "With al due respects to all those who met our H’ble PM @narendramodi ji last eve on behalf of Indian cinema, would like to remind @PMOIndia that Hindi films alone do not represent or contribute to the economy of this country. South Indian cinema is the largest contributor.. cont."

She continued, "South Indian cinema represents our country globally. The best of talent comes from south india. The biggest superstars come from south india. India’s best actors belong to south india. Best technicians are South Indian. So why was South industry not invited? Why this inequality?"
