Rajinikanth is set to return as the iconic ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer 2. While earlier reports suggested that the film would be released in August 2026, fresh speculation indicates that the release may have been pushed back slightly.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 postponed to September 2026?
According to an online report, Jailer 2 is now expected to release on September 4, 2026, coinciding with Krishna Jayanthi. The film was initially rumored to be targeting an August 2026 release, but it now appears that the makers may have decided to postpone it by a few weeks.
Interestingly, recent reports also suggested that Suriya’s Vishwanath and Sons might shift from its planned July 2026 release to August. Additionally, Soori starrer Mandadi is also rumored to be eyeing a release during the same period.
However, these remain unconfirmed reports, as the makers have not yet made any official announcement regarding the sequel’s release date.
