Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor’s younger brother Rajiv Kapoor passed away on Tuesday, February 9. Rajiv Kapoor was 58 years old. He was rushed to the Inlaks Hospital, the closest medical facility to their residence in Chembur by his brother Randhir Kapoor after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest. However, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Ever since the announcement of his demise surfaced online, celebrities and fans have been sharing their condolence messages.

Khushbu Sundar shared a throwback photo with him and offered condolence to his family. She wrote, “You will be remembered and memories will now trouble me”. Resul Pookutty offered his condolence on Twitter. He wrote, “Rest In Peace #RajivKapoor I had the good fortune to meet you many times and received your love and affection. My heartfelt condolences to the #Kapoorfamily”. Rajiv made his acting debut with Ek Jaan Hain Hum in 1983 and featured in multiple films such including Aasmaan, Lover Boy, Zabardast.

However, his most famous film was the 1985's Ram Teri Ganga Maili, which was directed by his father. He starred opposite Mandakini in the film. He was all set to make a Bollywood comeback after nearly three decades with a sports drama titled Toolsidas Junior, co starring Sanjay Dutt, co produced by Ashutosh Gowariker and Bhushan Kumar. In April 2020, the Kapoor family had lost Rishi Kapoor. He passed away on April 30 after a long battle against cancer. Rajiv's sister, Ritu Nanda, breathed her last in January 2020.
