Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam had 'all songs composed in just 4 days except one' reveals Devi Sri Prasad

Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam was released in theaters on March 30, 2018. The film turned out to be a massive hit and received critical acclaim, particularly for the actor’s performance. Now, the movie’s composer Devi Sri Prasad has revealed that almost all the songs in the film were composed in just four days, except for one track.

Devi Sri Prasad reveals Rangasthalam’s songs were composed in 4 days

Speaking with Rajesh Manne, Devi Sri Prasad revealed that all the songs in the blockbuster film Rangasthalam were completed in just four days. The musician added that the only exception was the dance number Jigelu Rani, which featured Pooja Hegde.

For those unaware, Rangasthalam follows Chittibabu, a partially deaf yet pure-hearted man, and his brother Kumar Babu as they take on a corrupt village president in an attempt to overthrow his unlawful 30-year regime.

Alongside Ram Charan in the lead role, the film also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, Naresh, Prakash Raj, Sunil Barve, and Aadhi Pinisetty, among others, in key roles. Directed by Sukumar, the action drama was a major commercial success and is currently streaming on Prime Video.

Ram Charan’s work front

Ram Charan is next set to star in the sports action drama Peddi. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film revolves around a spirited young man from a village who is regarded as a legend in multiple sports, including cricket, wrestling, and running. As he navigates the challenges of everyday life, he faces the biggest test of his journey and strives to make a name for himself using the talent he has honed over the years.

The sports action drama is touted as a journey of self-discovery and excellence while also exploring themes of personal rivalry and budding romance. Alongside Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.

Initially, the film was scheduled to release on March 27 before being postponed to April 30, 2026. However, due to pending production work, the makers ultimately locked June 4, 2026, as the release date, especially after Toxic, starring Yash, was postponed.

After Peddi, Charan is expected to collaborate with Sukumar once again for the tentatively titled RC17.
