Samantha Ruth Prabhu shot Maa Inti Bangaaram with morning sickness
During an interview with iDream Media, Nandini Reddy opened up about Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s sheer professionalism and work ethic on set. According to the director, when it came time to shoot the high-energy musical sequences for the film, the actress was already in her first trimester.
Despite experiencing severe bouts of morning sickness, the actress refused to let the production suffer or lower her performance. Apparently, the filmmaker found out about Samantha’s pregnancy when they were shooting the Thassadiya song.
“I was very happy. It was almost towards the end of the shoot. They first told me that she wasn’t feeling well in the morning. We thought she must have a fever,” she shared, adding that the next day she asked her if her fever had come down.
“At first, she didn’t say anything. A minute later, she said, actually, I’m carrying and suffering from morning sickness. It was during the early part of pregnancy. From there, we took care during the rest of the shoot. Luckily, the action portions were already shot,” said Nandini.
The news adds a whole new layer of admiration to Samantha’s recent appearance at the film's success meet in Hyderabad. After days of intense social media speculation from eagle-eyed fans who spotted a subtle baby bump, Samantha officially confirmed her pregnancy at the event.
Seated next to her husband, acclaimed filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, a glowing Samantha joyfully addressed the media, “After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small gap, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. But I am very, very happy, and after that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans.” The couple is expecting their first child together in December 2026.
